Founded in 1980 as a Consulting Structural Engineering firm by Principals Earl Cutler and Thomas Gallaway, Cutler-Gallaway Services, Inc, is located in San Antonio, Texas, and provides engineering services across the United States and a number of foreign countries.  CGS has developed a reputation of being large enough to handle all aspects of the Structural Engineering on practically any structure, yet small enough to have direct personal involvement of the Principals on all projects. This reputation for engineering excellence has been achieved through satisfied Owners, Architects, Contractors, and Fabricators by consistently providing sound, innovative solutions to a wide variety of challenging projects.

The Principals and staff of CGS have up to 40 years of successful experience working on a diversity of projects, and CGS is committed to focusing the knowledge gained from their previous successes toward timely and applicable solutions to the particular needs of each project. Every Client can be assured that CGS is committed to having a Principal directly involved in maintaining engineering excellence in the production of every project.

CGS places major emphasis upon the use of computers for both CADD and Structural Analysis, utilizing networked computers for every employee. Using the 12 licensed AutoCAD R14 and AutoCAD LT2000i workstations, trained CGS personnel produce 100 percent of their drawings by CADD, compatible with all major client systems, and with numerous projects delivered electronically. For design, CGS maintains and utilizes a library of state-of-the-art structural programs, including STAAD/Pro, Leap, POSTENS, PCA MATS, PCA ADOSS, PCA BEAM, PCA COL, RAMSteel, Enercalc, SDI, LATPILE, MAT3D, and other premium quality design programs.
