Coil-Plus Manufacturing
CGS was Engineer of Record for this 75,000 sf heavy manufacturing facility with 100-ft overhead crane spans, floor loads of 3,000 psf, and an interior rail siding. The design was carried out under a Design Build contract working in close coordination with the Owner’s representatives.

RECO (York) International

CGS prepared this 40,000 sf manufacturing facility in two phases.  It features a rigid steel frame designed for three 30-ton bridge cranes spanning 70-ft and operating simultaneously along the length of the building.

Working directly for the Owner as Prime Consultant for the project, CGS prepared the structural design for the foundation and superstructure, as well as coordinating the other Professional Services.

Insco Distributing

This 210,000 sq ft warehousing facility contained approximately 30,000 sq ft of corporate offices.  A drilled pier foundation supported exterior tilt-walls and interior steel columns.

The second floor of the offices was constructed as a concrete deck on steel open-web joists and structural steel beams.  The high-bays of the warehouse area featured deep joist girders and open-web joists providing 25-ft ceiling clearances for the rack storage systems.

Industrial Facilities
CGS has designed a wide variety of industrial facilities from manufacturing to warehousing; heavy machinery to bulk storage; original design to renovations.

TAKATA Seat Belts, Inc.

This was a 119,000 sf manufacturing plant with integral offices completed under a Design Build contract.  Supported on drilled piers, the two-story structure featured a concrete tilt-wall exterior with structural steel interior framing.

Machinery foundations up to 7-feet thick were designed for the reciprocating steel stamping operation, with isolation joints to dampen vibrations from the adjacent office areas.  An enclosed processing facility was included to provide treatment of fluids used in the metal plating operation.

BABN Technologies

This project was a 120,000 sf printing plant with corporate offices prepared on a Fast Track basis.  The structure was supported by drilled piers, with exterior concrete tilt-walls and interior structural steel framing.

Special requirements for the sensitive, high-speed presses dictated a separate concrete mat within the building, bearing on drilled piers.
