Contemporary Constructors

CGS designed this 15,000 garden office building in an urban setting.  It has Texas hill country features reminiscent of many ranch houses in the area including native limestone, metal roof, and exposed interior timber framing.

Huebner Medical Center

CGS teamed with the Architect and Contractor to design this 48,000 sf medical and professional office building on a Design Build basis.  The building has a structurally supported cast-in-place concrete foundation on drilled piers, with a second floor and roof supported by structural steel.

The Monitor

This 102,000sf plant contains corporate offices, printing presses, and assembly areas for the production of newspapers and periodicals.  The facility has a concrete slab-on-grade with structural steel supporting the roof.  Concrete tilt-walls comprise the exterior, with large window openings around the office area.

A special, independent mat foundation will support the printing presses, which require tight tolerances on allowable foundation movements.  The structure was also designed for future expansion.

Offices and Commercial Buildings
CGS has experience in the design of structures located in seismic and non-seismic zones, high-wind and hurricane areas, and widely differing foundation conditions.  We have used all of the major building codes encountered across the U.S. and its territories.
